The Woodbridge Shufflers have three runners entered into the 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon which will be run on the 28th April:
- Heather Noone – 35 years old, 3rd marathon and first London through the championship entry, target time sub 3 hours following her recent success at the Kent Spring marathon which she won in 2:49.32 beating her closest rival by 14 minutes.
- Matthew Hunt – 42 years old and completed his first marathon in Edinburgh 2012. Has since run 12 road marathons and set a PB of 2:38 in Valencia in 2014. This year will be Matt’s sixth appearance at London.
- Dr Ben Solway – 53 years old, 15th marathon, running for Woodbridge Shufflers in the club allocated place and raising money for MNDA (Motor Neurone Disease Association ). Ben is hoping for a sub 4 hour finish time.
This follows a considerable number of marathon successes for the Club over the last month at Manchester, Brighton, Paris and Boston .
