This is the second event of the Suffolk Winter League, a series of six cross country races held during the winter months.

Date: Sunday 3rd December 2023

Entry: Entry costs £5 per adults and £2 for juniors, prebooked  via your running club . Only members of running clubs that take part in the league are eligible to participate in this event and official club vests must be worn. All entrants must be over the age of 11 on the day of the race and there will be separate races for juniors (ages 11-16 inclusive) and seniors (ages 17 and above).

NO “Guests” are allowed to run in the event and all competitors must be fully paid-up members of SWL Clubs.

Venue: The race headquarters are at  Rock Barracks, Sutton Heath, IP12 3LU.  Please car share where possible, both to reduce the environmental impact of holding the race and to ease parking at the venue.

On entry to the barracks, you will be directed to the parking areas and shown where the team gazebos can be set up.

Team Result Sheets, Plastic wallets and envelopes will be available for collection by team captains in the Race HQ.  Envelopes will be clearly marked with team names and the Woodbridge Shufflers BACS details will be on the envelopes.  Team Captains, please take care when filling in the forms.

Both Races start opposite the barracks on Sutton Heath.

Start Time: The junior race will start at 11:00am and the senior race at 11:15am prompt.

Course: The course is new this year and the exact details are a closely guarded secret, but our insiders say its opposite the barracks incorporating sandy hills and obviously big puddles.

Facilities: The legendary Shuffler cakes will be on sale again this year along with a tea and coffee. The Community Centre will be open for refreshments after the race so please bring CASH!
