We are very excited to announce that planning for this years 10K race has started, there are lots of details to iron out …. but we are in a position to confirm that 21st May is the confirmed date.

We’d like to introduce the man with the toughest job in the club, huge thanks goes to Graham Bush for agreeing to be our Race director

Here is our main 10k web page, answers to common questions can be found here, they will be updated as details are confirmed.

Suffolk Winter League Kicks off

The Suffolk Winter League XC season got underway on 6th November 2022

Our first stop in this seasons’ league was to Framlingham Castle, for a lively 2 laps around the farmland, mere and moat of this historic landmark.

To say the weather was a challenge would be an understatement; thick mud and torrential rain made for many a slip and slide (see photos!)

Shufflers excelled themselves with 30 runners taking part; making it our best line up in memory.

Special Thanks go out to Andy Garvie for driving the mini bus from Woodbridge, and Mike Ward for organising the runners.

Shufflers take on the Felixstowe 10-mile Race

Sunday 18th September saw a group of Shufflers take on the Felixstowe 10-mile Race

Lots of great running from the team, and special mention to Stu Haynes who came 1st with a time of 53:38 and to Ruth Acworth who won her category with a time of 1:20:50

You make us all proud!

Shuffler’s Sports Day

This week was Shuffler’s Sports Day held at Kesgrave Millennium field.

Mark Austin put his teaching skills to good use to put on an exciting evening of relays, trainer tossing, 3 legged races, an egg and spoon race, a wheelbarrow race, a sack race and an hilarious dizzy dash.

5 teams went head-to-head to prove their sporting prowess, and medals were distributed to those who won those individual events as well as the overall winning team.

Everyone had such good fun enjoying something a bit different, and people were able to shine in different ways.

Shufflers Tackle Sandlings 55 Ultra

Sunday the 10th saw 2 Shufflers – Mike Ward and Rob Squirrel ran 55 miles on a blisteringly hot July day!

The route began in Southwold, and went through Sizewell, Snape, Wantisden, Melton and finished up in Martlesham.

Both runners put in a spectacular performance; the heat and distance understandably led to almost half the runners retiring from the race, but both Rob and Mike finished with an incredible time of 11.5hrs and 14hrs, respectively, to raise money for charity.

All the Shufflers are so proud of you both!

Shufflers celebrate the Queens platinum jubilee

This weekend saw communities up and down the U.K celebrating the Queens platinum jubilee, and Woodbridge was no exception.

The Shuffler’s were represented on Friday 3rd of June on Kingston Field; giving people the opportunity to hear about the antics we get up to as a club, as well as some games

and drills for younger people to have a go at and learn a little more about running.

We were fortunate enough to have some glorious June weather, and the music and food went down a treat!
