A roundup of the Woodbridge 10k news

To pull all of the 10K information into one post:

We are delighted to announce the 10k round the town race will run in 2022, the race will be held on Sunday 8th May 2022. Booking will open on Saturday 5th March 2022 at noon.

A link to the booking website will be made available both on our Web page and facebook page when booking opens

One other change we would like people to know about: T-Shirts

This year we have made the difficult decision to not give away a free t shirt to all race finishers. Do not worry, a t shirt will be available to purchase for a price of £4.99. You will be able to opt to buy the t shirt as part of your race registration.

Historically there have been a lot of left over t shirts each year and as a club we are conscious of the effect that has on the environment so are looking to do our bit where we can to minimise waste etc.

Thank you for your understanding.

Club shop open

The club shop is now open for two weeks, ending 6th March. An excellent time to get a running vest if you are planning spring / summer running events.

2022 Suffolk County Cross Country Championships

A full day of action took place at Nowton Park in Bury St Edmunds on the 9th January.

A clear blue sky made for good weather, but it wouldn’t be a winter cross country without a plethora of mud; and Nowton park delivered on that.

Shufflers represented well by Roger, Tom A, Sarge and Ed.

Shufflers at The Adnams 10K

Sunday 28th November saw the return of a local icon in the calendar; The Adnams 10k.

This race takes place in Adnams hometown, Southwold, and several Shufflers made the pilgrimage up the coast to take part.

We are certainly thrilled to see this race back; and a special congratulations to Ruth Acworth who won her age category, and Malcolm Pidd who came 2nd in his category.

Let there be light !

A massive thank you to Community Action Suffolk and East Suffolk Council for awarding us the fantastic Community Restart Grant with which we have purchased floodlights which illuminate our Junior Running group. We are very grateful for this amazing award.
