Club Runs

Most of our adult sessions are arranged using an app called “Spond”, Please contact  membership@woodbridgeshufflers.org.uk to join our Spond groups, people are welcome to join us for a couple of taster session before deciding if membership is for them.

Tuesday Evenings

We offer runs for all abilities on Tuesdays, with the sessions starting at 6:30pm in the evening. In the summer there’s a choice of two trail runs of around 5 and 7 miles, a slow run of around 3 to 4 miles, and a structured training session at Woodbridge school – where we do intervals and other fun sessions to improve your running. The structured training sessions are brilliant for anyone who wants to race, or to improve their fitness, speed and running technique.
In the winter months we offer structured training and a slow social run of 3 to 4 miles in the Woodbridge area, a longer run around Woodbridge of around 5 miles, plus an occasional head-torch trail run.

Wednesday evenings

The first Wednesday of every month we meet at Northgate Sports Centre at 7:30pm, for a joint structured training session with other local running clubs. The clubs take it in turns to plan the session and provide a coach, and it’s a great opportunity to meet runners from other clubs and chat about all things running.

Thursday afternoons

On Thursday afternoons we offer a social run of around 4 miles, in and around the Woodbridge area starting at 2pm. Run, chat, smile and have a coffee afterwards!

Sunday Mornings

We offer a variety of social trail runs on a Sunday morning, starting at 8:30am. We have a slow run of around 3-4 miles, a longer run of around 8 miles, and a long run of around 10-12 miles. All are in and around the fabulous Suffolk Countryside.

Couch to 5k

Every March and September we offer a couch to 5k session for anyone who wants to start running or get back to running. This also has it’s own page – here

Pace:

The trail runs are run at the pace of the slowest runner, and we always regroup frequently to make sure we keep everyone together. The pace of our slow run is around 12-14 minutes per mile – if you’re not smiling and chatting you’re running too fast! The structured training sessions are designed so that everyone can run at their own pace, while pushing a little bit harder to improve speed and fitness, under the instruction of one of our England Athletics certified coaches.
